weekend scrollinf with my grandson

Finally my grandson was able to come spend the weekend with me and after months of waiting we got him in the woodshop to do some scrolling !!!  I have the winerfield patterns for layered animals and he cut out two of those a dog and a cat, then he drew his own pattern of a cat that he will put cup hooks on ( i gave him the hooks and the hanger)  and he will hang that near his scroll saw to hang his dust masks on and he just finished cutting out his last project....a small lawn lepercon.  we didnt sand anything or put them together here so he can use the sander he got for christmas to sand his projects and then put them together and paint them at home..... his folks sitll havent gottien his scroll saw set up for him...it was still in the truck of his dads car!!  well my friend ritia is packing to move up north in april and we were talking about his scroll saw not being up yet...and there having to make a stand for it first and she said no you dont iv got a homemade stand down in my basement that i had my drill press on and he can have that to put his saw on..... so she brought it over and i called my son and told him to get the saw our of the trunk as we have a stand for his saw that he has to put in his truck if it dosnt fit in there spike and i will put it in the van first chance we get and take it up to him i also told conner if his folks dont start working on getting his stuff set up in the basement to call grandma and we will come down and get his stuff set up for him....after he gets his wood shop set up i'll give him some wood too..... my son is very good with computers but not so good at building things lol and his uncle abe cant get to it until april....so i think we will be going there and getting it set up for him... I was very please with connor...even though its been months since his first lesson he remembered everything almost perfectly.  and we got 4 different projects cut out for him to take home i'll ask his mom to take pctures when he finishes them and then i'll put them up here for him.... he is quite proud of him self lol and so am i.  tomarrow i will see if i can finish up the things iv been working on lol and now im going to sit and watch tv until his father gets here to pick him up !!  grandma is tired!! lol and so i might add is our year old shitzoo , he s hidding under the bed taking a nap lol connor wore the little fellow out playing with him all weekend lol poor henery is stuck in a house of old people and an old dog so he only has the cat to play with when shes wllig lol i play tug of war with him and fetch but thats about it lol and not for very long....so its been a great weekend hope youve all had great weekends to
