I finished this today. It's cut from 3/4" walnut and is 18" x 11". I used the spindle sander and scalloped the edges to make it look more framed. I also took the torch to the edges. Four coats of poly as a finish. Thanks for looking.

I agree WOW.  You did an amazing job.  I look at the photo first and thought how lucky you were to find a piece of wood just the right shape for the owl pattern.  It looks so natural. :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs:
