OutoftheWoodwork Posted October 21, 2013 Report Posted October 21, 2013 Yesterday, Ken was absolutely amazing!!! I was called upon to do a resume, so we had only been at the trailer a short time when I had to leave to type it up. While I was gone, Ken got the last of the flooring in (When he got done he said it was in there perfect that "it was tight as a ..." uhh nm) anyway, he had the floor in, and the framework up for the wall around the air compressor/storage area, and was working on the wall frame for the potty/supply room. (Cleaning supplies, maintenance supplies, etc.) The window in the door had been busted out, and is covered by a piece of wood from the outside. Right now, it looks like a mid-evil torture device with all the screws stuck through the door. No one ever replaced the window or the door, so I went and removed the inside frame around the window, cleaned off the shards of glass and adhesive, and had Ken cut a piece of Plexiglas in the dimensions needed, and replaced it. (I tried to do it with the scroll saw, but the plastic melted and broke my blade. I didn't have my jigsaw with us, so I asked him to do it with the circular saw. Worked well.) Now I need to get a covering over that piece of glass.... HEY... I just got an idea (tapping finger on chin,,,) okay gonna make a minor change to that window - to add security to it. *returning to the present....* anyway, it looks a lot better, and a tad safer with Plexiglas in there. Ken wants to put another grate on the door, and a second bar at the bottom. I may look into getting a new door then do the bar and grate. Not sure yet. Here are the pictures of what it looks like so far in there - If I wanted, I could work in there now, but I need the generator, and it's stored inside. It takes the two of us together to get that heavy beast in and out of there. We're trying to find a way to maybe attach the generator to the tongue or something - take it off the handle and wheels and weld it, or something? Dunno yet. But we'll figure out something, I'm sure. We're going to get the bench topping, and trim and that maybe this weekend, and get the finishing touches on there. to finish it up. (Close in the end of the workbench, etc, like what I have in Beastie.) Need another support under the long portion of the work bench, too, I think. It's longer than the one in Beastie is. bobscroll, Huntter2022 and Travis 3 Quote
Bishop Posted October 21, 2013 Report Posted October 21, 2013 Barb That looks wonderful, you will not want to leave to go anywhere else. Have a great time christening it with sawdust. Thanks God Bless Homer & Carol Quote
OutoftheWoodwork Posted October 21, 2013 Author Report Posted October 21, 2013 Thanks Homer. Once all the finishing touches are done, He'll look amazing. Gonna have to slow down on the progress, though until Beastie is sold. Gonna get just the imperative materials to be functional. Will probably wait on the finishing touches until he's moved to his new home. Quote

OutoftheWoodwork Posted October 21, 2013 Author Report Posted October 21, 2013 Thanks Roly. I taught him well didn't I? LOL jk. I did have to teach him a little (from what I witnessed watching my dad when I was little) but Ken is definitely good at this stuff. I'm very proud of my baby. amazingkevin 1 Quote
