  1. I finally got a chance to place a few items up for you viewing. These are all waiting for a lemon oil dip and then a light coat of satin varnish. I planned the Humming Bird to be a on a stand with a blue/purple foil backer and no frame. The wife is wanting me to leave it open and make it oval so we can hang it in the window. The dog and cat are puzzles made from 4/4 poplar and are from one of my books. Thanks,
  2. I have the Dewalt and I Love It. Just before Christmas I started scroll sawing again with a Skill Scroll Saw from Lowes. I was cutting a 4 stack of ornaments out of Baltic Birch. I had only been using the same blade when about halfway through I heard a pop on the back of the saw andthen within a couple seconds the blade snapped. I placed another blade in and readjusted and with in a few seconds broke another this went on for several bladess before I was able to complete the stack. I ended up breaking 10 blades because the saw would not stay in adjustment. I returned it to Lowes and bought the Dewalt with Stand from Amazon. Now I can use a blade till it gets pretty dull. Leo
  3. Hello eveyone. I just found this site tonight. I am just getting back into scroll saw work and am really looking forward to doing some of the more intricate patterns. My previous work was on an old Craftsman saw that only took pinned blades and I only cut shelving and animals (nothing special or detailed). I just received a new DW788 last week and I cut my first project and was very pleased. I'll post the picture later when I get a chance. I'm looking forward to hearing from you all. Please enter me in the contest. Thanks, Leo
