  1. This was my first attempt at casting. Mica powders and pvc. Thanks Clayton for your casting video I picked up alot of good info.
  2. This is 105mm tank shell from WWII. I had to turn the top part. I glued 3 pieces of 2x6 together to make the turning. The shade is a WWII helment. A friend of mine is going to put this in his sons' room.

    New Pen

    Great looking pen Dan.
  4. Nice job on the bottle stoppers.
  5. All 3 pens look great Clayton. The first two look like stain glass. The colors in the third pen look awesome. I hope to start casting soon.
  6. Thanks all for the great comments. Yes Dan it did turn like butter.
  7. My neighbor gave me some sycamore to turn. I never have used this before. My neighbor builds guitars and is very good at it. I am giving him this pen for giving me the wood. The pen kit is a Sedona from woodcraft. Thanks for looking.
  8. Nice job Dan. I really like the second pen. Good choice of colors.
  9. Dan all 4 of those pens look great. I would have to agree with you about the green circuit board pen. Where did you get that green acrylic blank? I really like that color.
  10. I apply the finish with a paper towel with the lathe off. Turn the lathe on and buff out with a paper towel. I do three coats.
  11. Just finished this pen out in the shop. The wood is Cocobolo and the finish is 3 coats of Minwax Poly. Thanks for looking
  12. Boy that turned out real nice!
  13. The box and pen turned out great Clayton!
  14. Great job on the pen.
