  1. Years ago one of the magazines had a pattern for making a 3d toothpick holder in the shape of a tooth. I made several of them and gave them to my dentist and his staff. Well I have a new dentist and I would like to do it again. The problem is I can't find the pattern. By any chance do any of you folks have a copy you can post?
  2. Preprius I hate to sound stupid but I still don't understand. The Corian is 1/2 in thick. Does this mean the walls have to be 1/2 in thick? That is a 1/2 in space between each ring?
  3. I want to use up some Corian scraps I have and decided to try my hand at making some bowls. Having trouble finding patterns. I don't want fretwork style, just simple closed bowl. Also since the Corian is 1/2 inch does that mean that I have to have 1/2 inch rings? ANY help and suggestions appreciated.
  4. why do mistakes happen at the end of a project and not the beginning? I just spent over a hour on a word saying project only to have not only the last 2 letters break but also go fling off into never-never land!! I'm going to have to start from the beginning. That is after I calm down. Sorry just had to rant to somebody who would understand
  5. I believe it's the upper arm that moves
  6. I have an older Delta saw. Hate to admit it but today I noticed that the blade does not travel in a straight line up and down. There is apx a 1/4 inch front to back movement. Is this something I can change or do I just have to adapt to it? If I have to adapt any suggestions?
  7. I am also at that age where the mind says I can do that and my body says what the f--k were you thinking
  8. I am cutting 3 pieces of 1/8 in walnut using a Flying Dutchman #3 blade. As to why it has taken me so long to get back to cutting all I can say is I have other hobbies also and life was messing with me
  9. I haven't even touched a scrollsaw for around a year. I have no idea what made me think I could cut something today with any skill. I would be cutting a nice straight line and all of a sudden the blade would take of in a direction of it's own choosing. It's almost as if a gremlin was periodically bumping my elbow. Now that I think about it it would of made a whole lot more sense to practice on something easy instead of something I wanted to give as a gift. Sorry about tis post, I just had to vent somewhere and I thought you folk would understand.
  10. 1. no matter hard you try you can not blow saw dust off your project when you are wearing a dust mask 2. the more intricate the project the less the glue on the pattern holds 3. you never mess up at the beginning of the project 4. shiny stuff sells better than dull unless the buyer is a craft person themself 5 sometimes it seems that the blades gets a bend in it just by looking at it anybody have any they would like to add?
  11. My wife volunteers at a a place that trains service dogs. Her boss has a papion service dog. I would like to scroll saw her somthing she can give to her boss for the holidays. Anything at all would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
  12. Hi folks, new here. I placed some of your great patterns in download file(?) . now I am wondering how to get them to print out full size. I'm sure there is an easy and obvious way to do it but I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks mike
