  1. I've been scrolling for about 12+ years on my Dewalt. I've had to blow out the dust from the off/on switch a couple of times - and that's all the maintenance I've done on it. The only problem I have is that my light bulbs go out a lot. I've pretty much stopped replacing them. I do have the type 1 saw and I think that makes a LOT of difference in having problems or not. T
  2. I've had my laptop off and on a couple of times, but still get the same error. The previous pattern I was working on will open fine. I used the Wacom tablet and pen to do this second pattern - would that cause a problem? Unfortunately I am on dial-up internet so I will have to wait to take the laptop into town to download any other program. I'm not real sure how to get the file on here, and think it will be too large for my dial-up. :( thanks Theresa
  3. I have both an etsy shop: www.WoodNGoods.etsy.com and an artfire shop: www.WoodNGoods.artfire.com I sell some things every once in awhile. I find when I am active on the sites, and in promoting, I do better. Right now there isn't much on the etsy site which doesn't help either. Theresa
  4. I've got a pattern done on GIMP finally. Went to open it up to show someone, and am getting an error!! HELP please! this is what I'm getting when I try to open the file: Opening 'C:\Users\Theresa\DESIGNS\Eagle.xcf' failed: GIMP XCF image plug-In could not open image PLEASE tell me I didn't work all morning on this for nothing! I can open a previous file I worked on, but not this one. Theresa
  5. By resizing my "original" picture before moving it over to the "new" screen, I got it to work. I'm not sure if that's the right way to do it, but so far it is working. Thanks Theresa

  7. I've downloaded the program and started the tutorials - I see how you size the small pictures to a larger size, but I have a large picture I am trying to resize to a smaller size. I get the new window (layer?) sized to 10 x 8 inches, and move my picture in. I move the corners to resize the picture, but when I scale it, only the center portion of the picture shows in the screen. Please help! thanks Theresa
