  1. Hi, Y'all! Some clever members advised me to post a pic from my gallery here to help get you to go there when you click the link <whew!>. Anyway, here's a train/shelf pattern from Wildwood Designs that was a lot of fun to cut. Working on several others with contrasting wood, but this was my first. Thanks to all the members for their clever advice, inspiration, and way-too-kind words of praise. Glad I found this organization!!
  2. I have a question... in the Forums, whenever I see my pic, it sez "newbie". I guess I'm a newbie to this site (relatively), but how does one attain the stature of "Zen Scroller" or "Master Scroller" ? I am a grasshopper waiting to only learn, Sensei!
  3. How fun! I've been contemplating scrolling doll house--you've inspired me with the mini furniture--well done
  4. Paul...you've made a huge splash with the Chinese Opera Mask collection. I think one of the most difficult things to do well in scrollsawing is repetitive cutting in a pattern such as any one of your masks demonstrate. Well done, welcome to the Village, and show us more as you do them. And WHERE did you get/create those patterns??... Mike M.
  5. Greg... Thanks for sharing and I'm fascinated you're living in Thailand! I had a Navy port of call in Pattaya Beach years back and visited Bankok. Scroll saw looks more than adequate. A suggestion: bare metal table can be improved. If you can get a sheet of 1/4" acrylic/plexiglass/stormwindow or even MDF (med. density fiberboard) you could cut a table with larger surface areas, blocks glued to board around circumference of metal table and placed on top with double-stick tape, you would have a slicker surface and larger work area. I think I like the 22" throat and would be doing larger projects than I have been. Best of luck to you in all your endeavors; looking forward to see more, more, more! Mike Miller
