WHERE'S YOUR SAW? I BET MY WIFE THAT OVER 25% WILL BE IN THE HOUSE. MINE'S IN MY SHOP WAS IN A ROOM THAT WE CALLED THE STUDIO BUT RAN OUT OF ROOM SO TOOK OUT THE WALL SO NOW ITS IN THE SHOP. SO WHERE DOES YOUR SAW STAY AT?

KEVIN IS THERE ANYWAY TOO RAISE THE BACK OF THE TABLE? SHIM IT UP? YOUR'S IS IN NEED OF HELP NOT MUCH JUST A LITTLE . I THINK? I HAVE NEVER HAD DW788 BUT HAVE HAD SAW WITH THIS ISSUE AND DIDN'T LIKE IT ON FINE WORK . I ALWAYS SHIM UP THE TABLE TOO IT LEAST AT SOME POINT HAVE THE BLADE STRAIGHT. IN THE DOWN POSTION IS BEST

MY RULE OF THUMB IS START OUT HIGHER THEN YOU THINK IT WORTH YOU CAN COME DOWN IF SOMEONE REALLY WANTS IT.(ITS HARD TOO RAISE THE PRICE IN THE MIDDLE OF SELLING IT) I GOT ONE PIECE I CAN'T SELL IT BEEN IN THE PAPER IN A WRITE UP FOR A SHOW HAS DONE VERY WELL IN JUDGINGS ,PATTERN SELLS GREAT. SOMETIME HIGHER PRICE SELL BETTER THEN A ROCK BOTTOM PRICE. CHEAP PRICE PEOPLE WONDER WHAT WRONG WITH IT. ANYWAY A BASE FORMULA I USE FOR SIMPLE PATTERN AND WORK IS $15.-$20. A HOUR . BIGGER WORK AND COMMISSION JOBS YOU CAN GET MORE

HOW THICK OF WOOD? WHAT TYPE OF WOOD? WHAT SIZE BLADE? DOES IT MATTER IF BLADES UP OR DOWN TOO THE ANGLE YOU SHOW IN THE PIC? SOME CHANGES IN BLADE ANGLE ON THIS STYLE SAW {WELL MOST SAW } IS COMMON ITS IN THE DESIGN OF MOVEMENT IN THE ARMS. AT SOME POINT THE BLADE SHOULD BE STRAIGHT MAYBE JUST FOR A SHORT TIME. I FIND MOST SAW THIS IS IN THE DOWN POSTION.

Need lower blade clamp for old Craftsman bench top

Jeff your part new will be super hard too find . rebuild your or make new. I got afew simple ideas PM me if u want. but first your a newby too scroll saw? have you used a springer arm saw before? the spring return can be a headache in blades and the blood presure. Don't get me wrong i love this true blade action of this saws. The saw i build are base off this design but blade return is a positive one. you may want too look at a new saw like a parallel arm saw. too get started out just easier too use and get adjusted with then go back and try the craftsman saw at a later time> ATC -

hey Jeff 103 is manufacturer code if you can find whom this is may help a lot . check e-bay if you havn't already i believe i have seen this style holder on there in the past. -
I use pack tape both side of work plus keep blade lube in reach ( honing side of blades will help too smooth the side a little. plus cut the back corner of the blade( round it off)
