  1. Happy Birthday popshop13!  I hope you have an awesome day!

  2. I am a bit confused, Travis says MDF paints well and now Artmill girl friend is fed up. I guess opinion are like belly buttons, everyone has one except Adam.
  3. I have a cabinet shop 1 block from me and they supply me with more than enough "cut offs" to do almost all my cuttings. I have to glue some of the pieces together but that is not a problem. I resaw the blanks and plan them to the desired thickness. The best part is that it is all FREE. This is the best word in scrolling history.
  4. I do a lot of plaque of various patterns, mostly from hardwood (oak, maple, ash etc.) I am wanting to expand into painted plaques and was wondering if MDF would be a good? What are the advantages or disadvantages over using soft woods like pine or poplar. Would I need to alter the blade selection and how does MDF effect the blades. I use FDUR for most of my cuttings. thanks POPS
  5. I like your font. Where did you get it.
  6. You might try Bushton Mfg. they now make the Hawk products and they might have some of the mag.
  7. Order some wood from a guy in PA. He makes custom moldings and has a lot of cut off very cheep. His name is Ted Zartman 717-677-7909 Hope this helps
  8. Had a ? for Mike about aluminum cutting blades and he said he had no feed back on them. He suggested I use a #5 FD-UR. I had one in the saw that I had already cut 2 hard wood trivets with so I said what the heck. I was amazed, I was able to cut 1/8 aluminum with ease. I think I have found a new source for some different cuttings. Not sure what yet but something will come along.
  9. I use cedar because I have a lot of it and I do mostly compound cutting and I like the aroma in the shop
  10. Might consider a Hawk, I love mine
  11. Craft show on Sat. was not as successful as I would of liked, but overall I was pleased. Got my entry fee back and some more. Learned a lot for next time. People just not in the Christmas mood yet. Will try another one the end of this month. Found out these old legs are not meant to stand around all day. Thanks for all the encouragement.
  12. Ray if I told you I would have to shoot you and I don't know where you are. Wait until I post my four sided monogram. I am thinking about getting a patent on the process. Glad you enjoyed.
  13. Doing my first craft show this week end. Kinda nervous. All new designs and one of a kind items. Hope I am not over priced. New webb site popssawdust.com
