  1. Hi, I have a polymax, I also have a EX 30, in my opinion the EX 30 is much more enjoyable to use, so much more accurate, I spent hundreds of pounds on bearings, belts, condenser, bellows, clamps , rear tension-er lever ( only knob on original, pain doing lots of holes with) Hegner charges are daylight robbery old technology will go forever like a farm tractor, lovely bit of enginering, but give me a smooth modern quite car every time . I stack cut and do very fine detail cuts close together with the EX 30. only my opinion. been a carpenter for over 50 years Roy Ames
  2. Thanks to all who have tried to help me, so everything is as its supposed to be, that is a relief as it was bugging me thinking I was doing something wrong, thanks again. Regards Roy Ames
  3. Hi , every time I release the tension on my EX 30 the blade is bowed sideways. I then release the top clamp, tighten again, saw away, release the tension, blade bowed again, I have tried to clean on sand the left hand top clamping screw but still happens. Using FD3- UR, 4 layers of ply about 18mm thick. Would be thankful for any advice Regards Roy Ames

  6. Hi , the top arm on my EX 30 wont stay up when I lift it like it used to do, saw still works, I have not moved the tension knob. I try to keep the gap at the back of the arm the same as the front to minimise the front to back movement of the blade. Anyone got any Idea what has gone wrong or moved? ROY Manchester UK

  8. Hi, there is lots of info an adjusting the EX 21 on the web, have a search, I have EX 30. I dont run at top speed, I have turned the Motor at the back of the machine until the front to back movement of the blade is at its minimum. all the info is out there, I think I also read in depth article by Shiela Landry (?) Maybe there is a fault , but try the adjustments Regards Roy

  10. Hi could anybody advise me on the best blade to use to make 3D puzzels , like the lizzard puzzel on www philex3d.com as there is no waste to saw into to do the sharp turns, all is seen. I use Mikes FD UR blades right now Best Regards Roy Ames, Manchester UK
  11. Thanks for all your replies and help, will preserver with the slope stand for a while. Thanks again Roy Ames
  12. Hi, Just changed from Hegner to EX 30, used to stand up, now made a stand to sit at . Made slope of 23deg, as per some advive on line, cant decide whether to perserver with this setup or go level, blade threading through holes seems harder than Hegner. Is slopping stand the way to go when sitting? Regards Roy Ames, UK
