Yes, knowing your location will help. As I said, I'm in So Cal and there are tons of used saws of all brands. We have members on this forum from all corners of the world so finding you a used saw should pose no problem. Info is what we need.

That looks like the wrong screw Paul. If you didn't get anything other than that with the saw, go to the Bushton site and order the correct one. I'm trying to recall what mine looked like but I know it wasn't that long. Of course, I've been know to be wrong a time or two. Just ask my wife. She remembers every single time.
Edit: I just pulled up the parts diagram for your saw and they call it a 1/4x20x1/2" Cap screw. But right above that listing is a part called a "T-bolt" with no size listed. Anyway, I think it should be 1/2" long. I'm wondering if the clamp screw from a Dewalt or Pegas/EX saw might work. They are 1/4x20 and have the swivel end.

Get a 0-1" micrometer. They don't lie if kept in good order. Once dropped, it will need to be re-adjusted though. Try not to drop it. I've got one of the cheap H/F digital calipers and I've had the same experience. A mic is the best way. Check flea markets for used ones.

I have all my blades in marked plastic tubes. I cut some plastic drinking straws to a length the fits in the tubes. I per tube. If I have a slightly used blade too good to toss, I put it in the straw tube to separate it from the new blades. It works great and keeps them organized.
  5. OCtoolguy's post in Lens Replacement aka Cataract Surgery was marked as the answer
I've had both eyes done. Prior to the surgeries I had very good up close vision but my distance vision was weak. After the surgery my up close vision was gone but distance was better than ever. And everything was much brighter. Colors were amazing. The lens were whatever Medicare would cover. I hated having to carry/wear readers. I had to wear glasses most of my life and found that it felt weird to not wear anything so I had lenses made that were clear on the top and gradually corrected from there down like any progressive lens would be. I wear them all the time but don't need them most of the time. I wear them when scrolling as I always did and use a lighted magnifier bought from H/F. No other correction needed. I too was a competition pistol shooter and was taught to "see" the front sight. I still can do that just fine but I do wear an eyepatch over my right eye as I'm a lefty shooter. I strongly advise anybody with cataracts to get the surgery. It's painless and only mildly inconvenient. Good luck on your decision.

That's a great idea Rolf. Thanks. I'll have to make some changes to the pattern though as it printed with the cut-out parts in a gold/brown tone. I'll see if I can change it.
  7. OCtoolguy's post in Trying to joint with a table saw - not good enough was marked as the answer
Probably not the blade as much as your fence may be out of whack. Are you sure your fence is in alignment with the blade? I bought a dial indicator and measured my blade to fence front and back of the blade using the same tooth. I had to re-adjust the fence to get it aligned correctly. There are videos on how to tune up your saw. Mine is a jobsite saw but it cuts true now. Good luck.
