That's a great looking jig. It makes sense that it only needs one runner. I see all framing jigs made with two runners. I only have one runner on my band saw sled. Thanks for showing. Gives me a new perspective.
Got it done. I did use Aileen's Tacky glue. I am out of Tite Bond II and Tite Bond III does not dry clear. The HF clamps worked. I did put a couple of staples on the corners on back as I am not nailing a back, I'm inserting a photo and glass. I discovered I already had a Pilot strap clamp. I like the ratchet much better as it is smaller. The HF ratchet is quite large and clumsy. However, I like the HF corners better. I have so much stuff I forget what I have. I bought the Pilot strap clamp several years ago when I was repairing wood clock cases.
Great picture of the puppy! I love cats. I have one. Apache Tears. Don't know where the name came from. That was her name when I adopted her. She answers to "Patchie."
I have Tite Bond lll, Gorilla Wood glue, Aileen's Tacky, 30 minute epoxy. All seem to dry quickly except for the epoxy. Guess I could try it u less someone in the Village can suggest something better. Thanks
I have successfully gotten my HF band clamps to work. Now what glue shall li use that is slow to cure? It takes a bit of time fiddling to get everything square and tight. I can't have the glue set before I'm finished.
I used #2/0 Pegas MG for the first time today. I'm cutting two thickness of 3/16" Luan. Holy smokes it's aggressive. I'm only running about 1/4 throttle so it does not run off on me. Sure can take the tight turns nice.
The variable speed made me bite the bullet and get one. I have a coupon on my cell phone for $29.99 so I used it. I have the $19 sander but used it once and never again. I have not done any sanding with the Bauer yet but did run it through the speed range. I think I will be well pleased. I just now checked my phone and there I see a $24.99 coupon I should have used. Oh well I've wasted five bucks before. I'm glad you made your post stating the variable speed.
