I had a similar problem a while back. My wife found  a solution on the internet. Rolled Magnet sheet material. Easy to cut with a scissor and the top does not need to be removed. There is enough material for at least 3 replacements. I've attached info. Not sure about  the sheet supplier but there several companies that supply the same material.
