  5. Hello to all It took some time, and with a short break I now finished it. I let it natural without oil, but as the wood has a great structure I´m thinking about treating it... Thanks again for the hint, I used the pattern of Scott. Kind regards Sonja
  6. Nice pattern! I like it.
  7. Hi Guys, How are you? Hope you all are well. Due to Covid all our plans were cancelled, the Wedding got switched, we are now celebrating with them next week. So... A new gift is needed, as I do not want to remind them to the old date anymore. We were with them some days ago and got very cute pictures. Could someone of you please help me to get a "easy" pattern,... It should be not too difficult, as I could not spend too much time. I also thought about only cutting a silhouette... Maybe someone could help me Thank you so so much in advance. Attached two pictures I have. I think the one they are only looking at each other should be easier to handle. How do you professional guys think about it? Thank you Best Sonny
  8. Great, thank you!
  9. Hello to all! For the grandchild of a fried of mine I´m searching for a unicorn puzzle... Does someone have a pattern for it? Kind regards Sonny
  10. Thank you guys for the warm greetings. Unfortunately my main job is in the office, so I could only spend some evning with scroll sawing, but it makes so much fun I think this page will help, if questions appear.
  11. Hi all, I tried my current best and I think it is not too bad... of course it could be ways better and of course I´m not 100% satisfied... Some more training is needed for sure. And the wood also is not perfect... I think it is poplar plywood... This I had availalbe and it is easier for pyrography... Normally I just use it for projects I colour afterwards... Nevertheless I will give it to him. Look forward his reaction... hahaha Wish you all a nice Valentine´s Day Kind regards Sonny
  12. Oh my God, that is so beautiful. I´m at the beginning of scroll-sawing, but such a great work I will never ever finish. Just amazing!!!
  13. That looks great. I also tried it with an app to get something like that, but without success... Let´s see, if I´m able to handle it. Thanks so much.
  14. Thanks, that is what I´m talking about... The official word is pyrography... With burning it is translated not clear enough. Sorry for the confusion.
  15. Exactly I want to burn it. I have something like that in mind: And into the middle I want to burn the picture. I´m doing it by hand. So I´m searching for an "easy" pattern / drawing, which is a little bit easier to draw. So nevertheless a scrolling pattern should be the best. I think I want to saw it later this year, too! But until Friday is too short-termed :) I really hope, that my English is possible to understand. Not as easy to explain that stuff at the moment. I think I need to have more training... Hahaha :) Best regards Sonny
  16. Hi All, I´m looking for an idea for my boyfrieds Valentine´s-Day-Gift... I have in mind to make a heart with my scrollsaw and burn a picture of us on it... (Pyrography) As I do not have a tool to make a drawing that I´m able to burn, maybe someone of you could help me... I know... Normally only pattern for the scroll-saw are requested If it is not possible, I totally understand the point. Here the pictures: Or maybe someone has another idea Open for everything. Kind regards Sonny
  17. Thank you so much! That looks great! Hope, that I´m able to realize it. But as mentioned, I have a plan B Thank God for that. Luckily there is some time to do it, as the wedding is in April
  18. Hello to all. I´m very new in here, but maybe someone wants to help me out . We are guest at a marriage this year and we got a picture as "invitation". This picture I want to bring to wood (if I could handle it - Plan B is to burn it ). I do not have a better quality, so if not possible to work with it, I completely understand it. Regards Sonny
  19. Hi Guys, This is Sonja and yes... I´m from Germany, Bavaria. Half a year ago I got a Scrollsaw from my Boyfriend, who is due to his job (carpenter - hope this is the right description) very familiar to woodworks, but of course in a different league After trying it out the first time, I was a little dissapointed. It did not work as I expected, so I did not spend a lot of time anymore. After searching for some help, I found a forum in Germany, where I found out, that maybe the saw blades I was using, were not the right once. Surprise... I bought others and was directly in love with this kind of work. Meanwhile I got a more high-grade saw (Proxxon was my first one, no I have a Hegner) and already did some work. Sometimes I combine it with pyrography, which was my preceding hobby in combination with wood. I´m sure it is a pleassure to have the chance to chat with experts and hope to get some inspiration for my next projects. Here 2 of my last presents I made. Pattern from Saburo Oguro. Kind regards Sonja
