Hi everyone,
my first post. We bought a used Craftsman 20" scroll saw that now needs some basic maintenance - a small part came loose and fell out from the top back part of the saw. We have taken off the motor cover and the screws that hold the two halves together, but are unsure how to proceed. I assume we'll have to take it off the base. We removed two rubber plugs from the top, one from each side to reveal what appears to be a shaft. If you look to the left of the label, it is the larger ring. I'm hoping we can just pull the two halves apart, reinstall the part, tighten any screws or bolts, lubricate any moving parts and reassemble. Does this sound right? Any tips or other advice would be appreciated!
