  1. For me I use alot of differnt Pegasus blades as I do alot of intricate work what i have found is that when the blade is not cutting how I like then its time to change it also if the tension is not correct the blades break quicker. and as Crupiea said it is usually me not the aw that causes them to break. a dull blade does not make a good clean cut.
  2. I have two of these one is 100x100 and the other is 150x150 the size does not matter as long as it is square I have had mine for many years and used them for all manner of jobs . I think that I bought them at a staionary shop. if that helps.
  3. Yes I have noticed that the price has risen on all the sizes the shop I deal with has just got another lot in so i will be stocking up this week an all 1/16 1nd 1/8 tick sheets i usually buy 300x300 and 600x300 this way i can cut down to the size i want on my band saw.
  4. You can buy Baltic craft ply made in the USA here in New Zealand it is expensive for the thin stuff I bought some 2mm but usually keep a variety of sizes in my stock at home from 2mm up to 12mm it is available here in different size sheets I think it would be quite reasonble in the states. Cheers Mike
  5. I use a glue stick that is used for crafts. I have been using this for at least 5years now it is cheap and not messy. This is how I use it; apply it directly to the paper then place the pattern onto the wood or if you want to and I do sometimes use this method and that is to apply the glue directly onto the wood and then place the pattern onto the wood. the trouble with the second method is that you end up with a sticky glue on the excess wood. Using this glue has alot of advantages it helps hold the edge of the cut item especially if you are doing very intricrit work as I do and when you have finished you just peel the pattern off. If it doesnt come off easily I use a razor blade to scrape it off this leaves a clean surface ready to seal but to make sure that it is 100% clean I use isophyi alchol and carefully wipe over the finished item this is non toxic and dries instantly. I hope that this helps you Mike
  6. Hi my friend and myself were discussing this very topic last week and what we do is to use a drill press that has a tilting table. we set the table to the required degree and then drill to our hearts content no problems all the holes are the same angle.
