Just a few samples of recent work...most are ready to be finished - the step I hate, so I just keep cutting and ignore the finish area......

I have done many wood puzzles and I use Mod Podge. I like to use the MP to add a layer of texture thus I use a brush... My advice is $3 a read so if you read this please send me the $3.. Thanks

I scroll daily and just leave the tension alone. I can "hear" my saw and she says "yo, Redd you leaving so maybe turn off the lights around here but do not mess with my tension - when you do that I look like some fat chick with a belly.." Do what your gear tells you...

Well, I am thinking - the best thing to do is just send me the Delta and I will cover shipping...This is just causing too much mental turmoil for you and you need a saw gone....

Not sure Santa was that nice, but pretty nice. I mean you coulda gotten a new Jeep Wagoneer or something but besides that I think you need to donate that great new gift to me since my Jet bandsaw is giving me alignment problems...Merry xmas lucky guy!!!

Thanks Joe...I fit in spaces where topics are focused on complex political issues - like why is a #3 blade more popular than a #5 blade and the #12 blades feel such discrimination.....lots of turmoil in the Scroll saw corner of my shop.....

With ¾ inch pine a #3 will work but will dull fast and on tight corners - with the f=duller blade - you will get burns. A #5 is the best and swap to a #3 if tight turns. My worst friend to cut is ¾ walnut. On the easy turns and such I use a #9 blade and scream thru till I hit the tight spots...Then down to a fresh #5 blade. TRedd

Hey Old Sarge, we just left Scottsdale...said I am done with the desert and I love snow, so Michigan it is.... I am gonna figure our some way to vent the shop..more news on that soon.

Blaughn, that is my exact problem with walnut....part absorbs the lacquer and other areas ignore it...I think it is that my dad loved walnut and used it all the time. He passed away and has cursed the walnut I touch....Viking gods and things...Oh, Minn...sorry

Hey Gang...I just found your site...I am Tom or better known as Grumpa, I think it should be Dude.... I recently retired and have always been a hobby oriented kinda guy. So built out my garage and added many tools - including a Delta Scroll Saw. Hadn't cut since grade school but it all came back fast and learned lots of new tricks on you tube. Below are some samples of my recent work. I do a lot of custom puzzles - from photos that people send me...complex pieces and my own whimsy pieces. My largest trouble lately - living in MI - has been finding a way to finish natural wood in the shop - no fresh air so fumes are too strong. Looking at adding venting to the shop ... or finding a finish that has much less odor. Biggest problem is finishing walnut pieces....walnut - the wood that hates me OK, I do ramble..Cheers and glad to be with da gang of wild Scrollers Tom
