  1. I have had the Delta 694 for almost 10 years, and it has a lot of milage (yards more realistically) on it. It's my favorite piece of equipment in the shop. I rarely adjust the tension but lately it seems very tight. The tension lever is at the lightest (if that's the term) position and if I adjust it any higher it will probably break the blade. I have the manual and parts diagrams (need an electron microscope to read) but can't find anything to adjust. I would appreciate any suggestions for adjustment, replacement, sledgehammer, etc. At 87 I don't think I could justify a new saw so that option is out. Enjoy the heck out of this Forum particularly the bragging section.
  2. I really like it. Can your share the pattern source? Our granddaughter just bought a new house, and this would be a nice present. Also, any tips on the two sections (?) finish would be appreciated.
  3. John, Great work!! I really like the painted finish. What blade do you use? Every time I cut a puzzle and then paint or stain the pieces don't fit back in, too tight. How much slack is just right or too much? Thanks
  4. John, Great work!! I second the above question and add one. What blade do you use? Every time I cut a puzzle and then paint or stain the pieces don't fit back in, too tight. How much slack is just right or too much? Thanks
  5. Rolf, Many thanks for this post, you answered a very nagging question I had. I bought this pattern a few months ago and was annoyed that the author did not put the source/method for the real nice lettering on the project. I don't have a laser so will have to resort to the old-fashioned method. I think I have found a similar font. The project is on hold while I try to incorporate the Mr & Mrs in the pattern, so they won't get lost. Great cutting, hope mine ends up as good.
