Hi!!! I recently got a WEN to practice on until I can afford a better saw (better I mean as in blade changes, size, power etc) the WEN pinless adapter things honestly well.. Suck. I've gotten them to work maybe 4x,2broken, and a million slip from holders as soon as i put tension lever down (before even turning to tension) I've tried using sandpaper for the ends, tightening with all my might using the Allan wrench but all fails most of the time. Is there anything, or any other blade clamps I could buy that'd work for the WEN? Changing for interior cuts is always a chore. Thanks in advance!!

A project finished for my mom. She loves hummingbirds and I finally found a Steve good pattern for hummingbirds. 112 holes later all on a WEN scrollsaw with the pinless allen head adapter. Distressed the backing wood to look like old and glued them together. I used 1/4” birch plywood for the pattern and 1/2” craft board from Lowe’s for the backing wood.

I did my very first piece using cutout letters this past week. I made this for my wife. The letters were 3/4” thick pine as well as the frame. Took me longer than I wanted, but it was my first time doing letters. I used 1/4” birch ply for the back and stained it with the Minwax Dark Walnut. Torched the frame only and added 2 coats of Zinnsser Shellac.

I used a Steve Good pattern for the Baseball cut for my son. The Punisher was pulled from google and traced off an iPad for my dads shooting room. I’m debating on finishes for these pieces, any input is appreciated. I’ve thought about using a torch and scorching the baseball pattern and then applying some high gloss poly. I have thought of using the India ink on the punisher symbol also. I used: WEN 3290 Pegas #5 MG 3/4” Pine wood
