I talked to the guy at the floor store before we cut the tiles and he said there should be no problem. He also ask the rep from one of his suppliers.
The tiles are easy to cut as they are only abt. 1/8" thick. We used a #7 skip tooth blade and ran the saw very slow. The tile is plastic and will melt if you run the saw to fast.
We have a small rotary tool that runs on low voltage dc, from a charger. It is slower and does not throw a lot of dust around.
You can also remove small areas by pulling it past the scroll saw blade, from the back to the front. We also do this when using 3/4" thick wood.
