Right out of the gate, and I'm already behind! I've been working with a new workflow for the podcast/Inkscape class and it is giving me a few problems. I'm using two computers to create the video portion and transferring VERY large files between the two. I spent until 1:30 last night editing the first installment of Inkscape and I'm fairly happy with it. But, the rendering took until this moring and I was left with a 4 gig file, which is much too large (a huge understatement). Lesson 1 is done, I just need to re-encode it to a smaller file, which I won't be able to get to until tonight. But it should be ready for tomorrow.

I have a new idea to help move things along on the next installments, so hopefully lesson 2 will be on schedule, which should be released on Thursday. I apologize for the delay. I know many of you were looking forward to Lesson 1, but technology is a very stubborn beast.

First up Sue no dental appointment is silly.

Travis I was wondering where the lesson was I knew it was in the Village University but hell how could I have missed it.

Looking all over the site but could find squat, never thought about the pattern makers lounge. LOL Bugger

Anyway thanks for the heads up and be back tomorrow night to take a peek.

Have downloaded the written version of Gimp and start playing with that as well.

Yah, I shoulda made it a global message so it was easier to find. Hopefully I didn't turn away any "new students" when they couldn't find the class. :? Its a rocky start, but we'll get there. I'm uploading the video now and I'm writing out the instructions as we speak.
