amazingkevin Posted July 6, 2014 Report Posted July 6, 2014 SUE MEY pattern, "thescrollsawartist.com" Done in 3/4" white pine 16" tall x 11" wide.It was a test of skills with tight repetitious turns on the flowers.Forgot again to keep track of the time, but i'm sure it was more than 3 hours, maybe 4. very easy to find the holes that were 1/8 "plus the Dewalt's top arm give you a great advantage for doing so as it raise's up with lot's of room to thread the blade. Fish Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 Very nice work, I can see the 3-4 hours in it. After a pattern like that I start getting blurry vision. Quote
amazingkevin Posted July 7, 2014 Author Report Posted July 7, 2014 Thanks DAN, With my 2" machinist square handy now I check my blade often. The flowers came right out either up or down very easy. Quote
robbert100 Posted July 7, 2014 Report Posted July 7, 2014 noce one kevin and i like the wood choice Quote
amazingkevin Posted July 7, 2014 Author Report Posted July 7, 2014 Thanks ROB,white pine cut very easily and quietly compared to other woods, but the grain is tough and will throw your blade around. So you just have to cut slow and normal, so you can notice any definite changes in cutting speed which lets you know you into some of the grain.
