I went to visit Paul @Scrappile yesterday morning. He was pretty tired after having Physical therapy, occupational therapy, and Speech therapy...all back to back. It is amazing how quickly he is recovering. Prayers are working! He is walking without any assistive device 500 feet, moving his arms and fingers very well. Doing stairs without difficulty. Even though he was tired when I got there he was in good spirits and as funny as ever. It is interesting that my former students are providing him his Physical Therapy. He is in good hands. Keep prayers coming especially for peaceful nights sleep.

My family was really sadden by her passing as well. Thank you for sharing such a great picture of her!

Thank you Dick for those kind words...I really appreciate it. I seem to have a bent towards making things more difficult than they need to be.

Dick, Yes, I was told by @preprius, who saw a message on Paul's member's page. His son reached out to me and I plan to visit Paul when he is up for visitors. I understand he is in a nursing home in the tricities. He is in my prayers.

Thanks Denny, When I finished cutting it, I just felt it needed a little more something. Plus, carving also covers up goofs!
-
I made one of these a while back for my daughter. She then asked me to make another for her friend. It is out of 5/8 African mahogany. I decided to do some carving on it as well.

Halloween Lantern Liner / Light Defuse Material?
MarieC replied to kmmcrafts's topic in General Scroll Sawing
Kevin that looks nice but Vellum comes in multiiple colors so you could use a yellow one if you wish so when the light isn't showing through it still looks nice and when it does, it will have that glowy look. Here it is at walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Uxcell-Colored-Vellum-Paper-20-Sheet-Multicolor-8-3-x-5-9-Printable-Vellum-Paper/19395914937?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=571&adid=22222222222000000000&wmlspartner=wmtlabs&wl0=e&wl1=o&wl2=c&wl3=10352200394&wl4=pla-1103028060075&wl5=67667&wl6=&wl7=&wl10=Walmart&wl11=Online&wl12=19395914937_10000000599&wl14=vellum colored paper&veh=sem&msclkid=f0bcee417c1015584d718407a480a172&gclid=f0bcee417c1015584d718407a480a172&gclsrc=3p.ds -
