Got an email from my bank today, the heading was CARD FRAUD.....VERIFICATION REQUIRED.  I was in two minds whether to open it or not with so many scams going around.  But boy I'm glad I did.  Someone had gotten hold of my credit card number and was using it.  I only ever use it to buy things on the Internet and it only as a limit of $1000 on it in case such a thing ever happened and it never leaves my home.  But they had made 3 transactions yesterday, $700, $600 and $495. The bank stopped all three because they did not match my history.  So I contacted them and now I have a new card being sent to me.  LOVE my bank.

Unfortunately the DOWNSIDE of technology, Marg. Thankfully your bank was vigilant and they didn't get away with it. ;)  ;)  ;) .

I've had that Marg the fraud people rang me and I hung up and said your having a laugh you want me to give you my details to confirm who I am on the phone no! you give me your bank details first and then put the phone down, then I had a letter saying the fraud squad have been trying to contact me please ring this number from the bank. Apparently someone in America was trying to take money off my card but the funny thing it was my old card which was cut up after receiving a new card so I said how on earth can someone take money from a card that no longer exists, answer don't worry sir it's been block anyway thank your for you help and say goodbye. Weird bank.  :boo:
