Pen makers or anyone use alumilite casting resin

I cast this piece of worthless wood in Aluminlite.  I put it in a container, poured the Aluminliter over it and put it in a pressure pot for about an hour, at 40 pounds pressure.

 

 

 

 

I was going to make pen blanks with aluminlite bur never got to it.

There is forum run by Dave Bell AKA Bellsy.  He is a real expert on casting.  He has given a seminar at our club and I was amazed at his work.

I bought the pressure pot.  Got it off Craigslist.  There is tons of info om Penturners.org about pressure pots and casting.
