Fay Prozora Posted October 7, 2014 Report Posted October 7, 2014 It's a compound miter saw. It will come in handy for some household things that Sis wants to do and I should be able to cut pen blanks on it too. There is a jig available from another site that will work with this saw and I can cut woods to get it ready for turning and the like. I will try it out once I get it to the new shop and such and then try it out on some scrap wood. It'll be great to have this saw. Enjoy Fay... Oh I have a plastic bag under it to keep any oils and grease off the table cloth. Now I need to get it back in the box and get it ready to take over there to Sis's garage and put it in my new shop. . wombatie 1 Quote

Rob Roy Posted October 8, 2014 Report Posted October 8, 2014 Treat your new toy with respect Fay, but most of all enjoy it. Looks like a nice piece of kit and it will pay for itself in jig time. Take care and have fun. Rob Roy. Quote

Fay Prozora Posted October 8, 2014 Author Report Posted October 8, 2014 I have a nice sturdy table at the house in the garage and maybe in the next week or so I can get all of my tools all set up and have a go with this saw. The saw is back in the box and ready to go to the new shop. Got some ideas for projects laid out but will go slow with this new saw.... Fay Quote
amazingkevin Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Your doing a great job, keep posting progress pictures! It motivates me to straighten out my outside shop. I'm still contemplating making a large round shape spool table that spins with different machines on it so i can stay seated and work! Quote
