Scrappile Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 One of the things I have struggled with is making frames for my scroll pictures. I struggle for a easy, CHEAP method to clamp the frames while gluing them together. I think I have finally found a shop made clamp, that is easy to make, only costs some scrap wood and a little time. Here is a short video that I found on Youtube that shows the clamp. I made a couple of them last night after watching this video and darn they seem to work great. I'd like to shake this guys had for thinking this up! Quote

Mort Posted November 16, 2014 Report Posted November 16, 2014 Actually, I kinda dig the round-over jig he has for his belt sander. I try to eye-ball my round-overs, and they never turn out right. Quote
oldhudson Posted November 17, 2014 Report Posted November 17, 2014 I noticed the jig too, but why not use a router for a round over? Quote
Scrappile Posted November 17, 2014 Author Report Posted November 17, 2014 I noticed the jig too, but why not use a router for a round over? That was my thought, but still a great little jig if a router is not available and a little safer to use than a router. Quote
Mort Posted November 23, 2014 Report Posted November 23, 2014 I bet its a lot quicker, especially if you're doing a whole bunch of small pieces. Quote
gkas Posted December 2, 2014 Report Posted December 2, 2014 I like this picture frame clamp http://www.amazon.com/Rockler-Quick-Release-Corner-Framing-Clamp/dp/B001DT5LH4/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1417517760&sr=8-6&keywords=picture+framing+clamp. They're available under lots of brand names. I've made big frames by buying more sections of 1/4-20 rod at Home Depot. Quote
