Dan Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 For those who listen to CarTalk on NPR, Tom Magliozzio died today from complication of Alzheimer disease. He and his brother, Ray, provided auto advice adding comedy to the mix every Saturday. Both brothers graduated from MIT. The they worked in the auto repair industry and started doing Car Talk on national radio in 1987. I just listened to the this weekend. I for one will miss Tom's humor. Here's a link to the story. http://www.npr.org/2014/11/03/357428287/tom-magliozzi-popular-co-host-of-nprs-car-talk-dies-at-77 Wilson's Woodworking and amazingkevin 2 Quote
LarryEA Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 What a suprise. A great radio show. Does that mean I've been listening to reruns for months? I don't think you do radio shows with alzheimers. Thanks for letting me know. Quote
Scrappile Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) That is sad. I listened to them many many times, still do when I get a chance. I loved their show. Click and Clack the Tappit Brothers. That is sad... Larry, don't know how long ago but they retired from the show a year or so ago, maybe longer. It has been reruns for some time.
