Rob Roy Posted January 16, 2015 Report Posted January 16, 2015 (edited) Hi folks, we have been suffering from high winds here on the West coast of Scotland, the last week or so. We have had days of rain and hailstones. As I sit writing this we are having THUNDER SNOW!!!!!. Thunder and lightning with heavy snow. Now, I'm 68 years old, and have never seen anything like it. We are used to c$$p weather here but this must be a first for Scotland. But it's fun though. FREEEEEEE entertainment. I've just been requested,(make that ORDERED), to close the drapes, Wifie doesn't like thunder and lightning whether it's snowing or not. I shall move to the other room and watch from there. Have a good night folks. Rob Roy. Edited January 16, 2015 by Rob Roy tomsteve and amazingkevin 2 Quote

Neither have I Paul, and it scared the living daylights out of my 6 Year old Grandson. Unfortunately Paul, It's pitch black here Paul 9.30 at night. All I can say is, it was quite spectacular. Yes Steve, Thunder Snow, bet you never had THAT when you were in EDZELL. As for the Thunder bottle???. The chance would be a fine thing. I'm on Warfarin so no chance of a wee Dram, not when the wife is in the vicinity . Take care Steve. Rob Roy. Scrolling Steve 1 Quote

rjR Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 The scoffers are just hard to convince! I did see the same thing years ago now in North Dakota--on this side of the puddle! It is long enough ago; I had forgotten about it! But, it was real! If it could happen in ND; why not Scotland! Quote

Phantom Scroller Posted January 17, 2015 Report Posted January 17, 2015 It's probably only over your house, you must have been bad in another life. we've had hails the size of golf balls, thought it was going to take my windows out lasted about 4 minutes and then the sun came out weird but typical British weather three seasons in one day. Watch out for the frogs & locust. Roly Rob Roy 1 Quote
