  1. I purchased a can of 3M 77 at Home Depot in So. Ca. Just last week. The previous can of spray adhesive I had was Scotch brand 77. It did not work as well as 3M brand. I found myself having to tape sections of the pattern that lifted as I cut.
  2. I agree with Milwaukee tools. I have a Makita 18v drill and an impact driver. I very rarely use them. I mostly use a Milwaukee 12v drill/driver 99% of the time . I also use a Milwaukee 18v 6 1/2” circular saw which i use to break down rough boards from the lumber store. I also use a Milwaukee 18v string trimmer with an edger attachment and a Milwaukee 18v blower. The Milwaukee tools work well and the batteries last a long time.
  3. Yes, it is his new site. Etsy deleted his store because it is listed in a war zone, even though he doesn’t live there anymore.
  4. Hi Michael, Welcome to the forum! If you are talking about the lower blade guard, you will need a T-25 Torx driver. You will find Torx drivers anywhere tools are sold like Harbor Freight, Home Depot, Lowe’s or even car parts stores. Good luck!
  5. Tomato Whisperer sign Made from live edge Oak and Sapele overlay.
  6. Temu is a Chinese mail order site, Not a type of wood. I personally would never order anything from pop up adds.
  7. Welcome to the Village! I am not familiar with that saw, but on most scroll saws you should be able to loosen the screws that hold the table to the saw. Then you can center the table to the blade. Good luck!
  8. That is not a bad strategy for us woodworkers to hang our own stuff to a wall, but when you are making things for sale, you have to make it easy for the customer to hang it.
  9. What I do when the screw is too long is I grind off the tip of the screw with my grinder. I use a gimbal ( I think that’s what it is called) with tape to mark the thickness of the wood to start the screw hole. I have also used E6000 to mount hangers with out any failures.
  10. Here in the U.S., all finishes are non toxic once fully cured.
  11. You can pay with a a credit card through PayPal.
  12. Years ago i was given a set of metal knurled blade clamp knobs for a DeWalt and EX type saws. I tried them for a few days. They weren’t any better than the originals and actually less comfortable. I passed them on to someone else. I saw recently that www.sayco.com has some round plastic knobs that might be more comfortable. Check them out.
  13. I don’t have that problem. A top coat like lacquer prevents that from happening . I finish hundreds of items every year with this method without any oil bleeding out!
  14. Yes! Because I sell online and in person, I feel they need a finish. First I soak them in a 50 50 mix of boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits. Then after 24 hours I finish with spray lacquer. The lacquer dose not hinder the assembly of the puzzle pieces.
  15. I used to use Deft until it became difficult to find. I then started using the Minwax brand Lacquer because it is available at Lowes. But at $13 a can, I decided to get a spray gun. It’s a low volume low pressure gun. I have it set up to spray about the same as a spray can. I buy quart cans of Minwax brushing lacquer and dilute it with lacquer thinner. It saves a lot of cash!
  16. If you are talking about standup puzzles, I always use 3/4” hardwoods such as Cherry and Poplar. If you are talking about jigsaw puzzles, I use 1/4” Baltic Burch plywood.
  17. I have a lot of go to items. With two venders I supply, and one craft show in November, I go through about 100 Mini Birdhouses a year. I decided to start early this year. 137 or so birdhouses cut and in process of mounting the perches. All the birds are cut. Woods used for the Birdhouses used were Mahogany, Maple, Redheart, Yellowheart, Walnut, olive wood, Sycamore, Poplar, aromatic cedar and some mystery woods. Woods used for the birds were Maple, Redheart, Yellowheart, Purpleheart, Mahogany, and Ebony.
  18. I’ve cut that pattern out of solid Cherry and solid popular without any problem or breakage. I love the look of solid hardwoods. To me, BB looks so bland, even stained.
  19. Never heared of them but am intrigued by the beef and hamburger

  21. Magnificent !!!
  22. Welcome to the forum! The FD ultra reverse blades have 2 teeth facing down and every third tooth facing up. Sounds like you have the blade upside down. There is a crimp on the blade that designates the up position. All other blades do not have this crimp.
  23. That’s a tough question to answer without knowing what exactly the project is. I was in mid answer when JT’s answer came up, and was thinking the same thing. For me, i never use plywood for scrollsaw projects. I always use hardwoods. Yes hardwoods are getting more expensive but then so is everything else.
  24. I would not use double stick tape to attach the layers. I would tape the stack at the edges. You will struggle trying to remove pieces from double stick tape as you mentioned. Clamp the stack together, then using blue masking tape, tape just the edges together. You can use an exacto knife or a razor blade to remove excess tape from the top and bottom of the boards. If you tape the entire edge, the stack will stay together. While you cut the stack. By the way, welcome to the forum!
