  1. Ok I found where the wife had stashed the books. I proceeded to steal volume 1 last evening. The wife and grandkids have family night on Friday. I not doing a movie buff prefer music or reading. I took up position in the bedroom after dinner and started to read. Falling asleep I gave up at chapter 13 last night. We have had crappy weather today so I decided to read today. It has been many years since I had a marathon reading. Just finished it a few minutes ago. This book hits it all for me. I am a die hard Sherlock Holmes fan, an amateur wood worker a n a hopeless romantic. There are enough twist and turns to herp you guessing. (Nice use of the package delivery.) If I could find anything wrong with the book it would be the dog on page 1 needed a name. LOL I am also a huge dog lover. Keep writing, can't wait to start #2. Also let us know when #3 is ready.
  2. Just got my copies in. Haven't got to read them yet as my grabbed them as soon as they were unwrapped. I assume she will eventually share with me.
  3. I keep getting pop up ads for very pretty wood from Temu. I do not have the app so I can't see any prices or descriptions. Has anyone had any experience with this? Any info appreciated.
  4. That is nice.
  5. Got them today's mail. Don't know how you get such good service from USPS.
  6. @Denny Knappen Just sent you an order. Don't be in a hurry to get it shipped. I am not in a hurry . Enjoy the weekend with your family. Thanks Larry
  7. They have stopper blanks that measure 1.5 x1.5x3 inches. They work great .
  8. If you look close you will see a dowel rod with an open hook in the end. This works well for me.
  9. Well I went out to the shop s couple of weeks ago and fired up the 25 year old Delta saw. It went ooooooh and refused to move. So I figured that was a good reason to buy a new saw. I really think a good clean and lube will fix the Delta but always good to have a backup right. Here are my thoughts on the Bauer saw. 1 it's heavy. 2 it seems solid. 3 straight out of the box I sat it on top of an old sewing machine cabinet. I adjusted the table about 0.5 degrees to get square. The top arm was .002 inches closer to the table at the back than front. Figured that was close enough for government work. With the saw just sitting on the cabinet not bolted ,clamped or attached in any way it seems very smooth. Don't think it would papp the nickel test but after attaching it to something solid I have no doubt that it will. Decided to try it out. Cut a few of the Diana Thompson bird houses. After a lot of foul language and threat's of return I realized I had the blade upside down. I cut 2 poplar, 1 Cedar and 1 from the Spectra plywood stopper blanks. I am very satisfied with the performance of the saw Not sure how the longevity will be but I bought the 2 year warranty. The way that works use it 2 years take it back renew the warranty and you get a new machine every 2 years for less than $50.00. Bird houses are straight off the saw. No sanding or anything. All were cut with a #7 skip tooth Denny special blade.
  10. I just ordered 2 boxes of them. I have orders that I am to make each child and grand child a set of them for Christmas next year
  11. I had an engineering firm next to where I worked. I would take the pull outs from the Magazine to them and they would copy them for me. That way I have copies to cut up to scan in and also have the originals. They will also do this at a vocational school that has a drafting class.
  12. Dave Are they split to a flat back that attaches to the board or left complete?
  13. Got my copy. Thanks to all that participated. As always our donations go to the area food banks and animal shelters,
  14. I absolutely love that. Yes I also fit in that category.
