  1. Good luck Bill, we’re all rooting for you!
  2. Nice work Barb!
  3. Nice job Charlie!
  4. I have always thought that 1/4” is too thick for ornaments and 1/8” is too thin. So, I mill all my hardwoods for ornaments at 3/16”. I then stack cut three layers. That makes the stack 9/16”, or just over 1/2”. Keep in mind I sell most of what I make. If you are just cutting one at a time, I would use 1/4” for hardwoods. If you are using BB, you can go 1/8”.
  5. Me as well! He was a bit cranky but really a great guy. He did a lot for the Village, I miss him.
  6. I sure do remember it, but don’t remember the artist.
  7. Thanks for the patterns Don! I will be cutting all of them for next years shows.
  8. Bill, now that you have figured out what your problem was, it’s time to think about a spare saw. If you’re like everyone else, you don’t have room for a second saw, but if you had a spare saw, you wouldn’t be in such a panic like you are now. When I purchased my current saw, I decided to keep my old saw just in case of such an event.
  9. All nice work Jim. Good to hear from you! It has been a while.
  10. I spray lacquer over my 50/50 mix of boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits everyday. As long as there is no oily feel to the wood, lacquer will adhere to it. Usually, the 50/50 mix is dry within 24 hours. So I can ship 48 hours after starting my finishing.
  11. Yup, it looks like the Christmas Bunny to me! Nice work Jimmy!
  12. Looks good Witchita!
  13. Nice work Marg!
  14. Ok, I found it! It is a Steve Good pattern. In his pattern catalog, type in Christmas Decorations. It’s in that pattern book.

  16. Great stuff Jimmy, keep up the good work!
  17. Thanks for the nice comments. I went looking for that pattern, but unfortunately, I can’t find where it came from. The copy I have really, really looks like a Steve Good pattern, but I don’t see it in his library. If I find where it came from, I’ll let you know

Congratulations, nice work! Along with the ornaments, I like the beaded spiders.
  19. Great looking cars Ron, you always do nice work!
  20. By, By, Miss American Pie! Excellent job Charlie!
  21. Two day show last weekend. Set up was on Friday afternoon. I have done this show for about ten years now. I had to miss it last year though as work wast so hectic that I didn’t have time to cut. Because of that, I lost the prime spot. I was way in the back of the room. Despite that, I had the best sales I have ever had. 80% of sales were credit or debit cards. My best sales were anything Christmas, but most sales came from ornaments. I have two price points of ornaments placed on two different trees. The Sleigh and reindeers sold for $250. The large Steve Good Nativity sold for $250. The biggest problem I had was working by myself. At times there were customers waiting in line to buy!
  22. They look mighty fine Pete!
  23. Yes, I am going to make another set for her but not till next year! I still have projects that still have to get done.
  24. It sold at today’s show!
  25. Nice work Joe!
