I can't believe that I screwed up so badly this year! I worked my tail off making Christmas gifts for every member of our family, plus I cut out 50 little 3D Reindeer to give away to strangers. Well, All of the Reindeer have been given away, every gift (36 in Total) have been boxed and wrapped, plus I made 2 sets of Gnomes complete with a miniature reindeer mounted on bases. My screw up is that I Completely Forgot to Take Photos of the gifts and Reindeer before they were packaged up! Duh! What a Bonehead Stunt! Dick

I bought a MicroLux Micro Sander on Amazon.com. It was an expensive little tool, but I absolutely Love it! It fits in super small areas with ease and it works GREAT! Dick

The new Hawks Do Not Require any tools to change the blade. It's a simple process of just putting the blade down through the table, insert the blade into the lower clamp, then insert the blade into the top clamp. It can be done in seconds! My old RBI used the barrel clamps, it took a few extra seconds to load the barrel and insert up through the table but it was super easy to do. I absolutely love my new Bushton Hawk! Especially due to the much larger table. The Lady that I gave my old saw to loves it and she learned quickly on it. Dick

Holy Cow! That's a Fantastic Creation! Absolutely Flawless and Drop Dead Gorgeous! Your skills amaze me and I love the way that you described the process! Dick -
WOW! I can't believe she didn't like it! Both I and my wife think it's Beautiful! My wife says she would love to have it if you would want to get rid of it! Dick

Thanks Jerry! The pattern is Very Easy to cut out and I cheated by making them out of 8 mm. thick RevolutionPly Underlayment flooring material that cuts beautifully, has almost No fuzzies, and takes paint and stain wonderfully. https://www.patriottimber.com/RevolutionPly-Plywood.php Also, I have almost 40 years of sitting in front of a Scroll saw, so I do have a little luck cutting things out. On Saturday Morning I went to Steve Good's website looking for an idea for making my wife and 2 daughters a Mother's Day gift. As Usual, Steve did not fail me! I found an awesome pattern for a gift, I printed it out, prepared the wood for cutting and went to cutting it out. I stack cut 3 of them and got them all cut out before I had to break for lunch. For lunch I Bar-B-Qued dinner for 8 adults and 3 Great Grandsons. We ate, sat and visited for a couple of hours, then I went to work fine sanding my new project, taping up part of it for painting and then waiting for the paint to dry. I didn't have to wait long because we had 85 degree weather. Then I carefully removed the first tape and set them in my shop so the women wouldn't see their gifts early. Then I Bar-B-Qued Dinner for the bunch again. It was so hard for me to not go back to painting, but I chose to wait until the next morning to proceed with the project! Early Sunday Morning I got up and completed the painting. Needless to say, the gifts were a Huge Hit! Thank you Steve Good for yet Another wonderful gift idea! Dick

My latest project is ready for the Lacquer. It’s a Wedding Gift for my Grandson and his Fiancé. They are going to be married in September, so I am ahead of schedule! It’s made out of Walnut, Maple and White Oak and it’s a Steve Good design. It's also 2 sided so that they can use it as a Table Centerpiece. Dick

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate the compliments! These were cut out of 1/5 " thick RevolutionPly Plywood. I really like the way it cuts, how smooth it is on the backside of the cut and how it takes a finish! Plus, it is fairly inexpensive to purchase: https://www.homedepot.com/p/1-5-in-x-4-ft-x-8-ft-Hardwood-Plywood-Underlayment-Specialty-Panel-431178/203183010 Dick Thanks Frank! I really enjoyed making these two plaques. One is for my Best Friend of 63 years and the other is a Memorial plaque for a friend that just passed away 2 weeks ago. He was a Navy Veteran who retired after 27 years of service. He was also a Vietnam Veteran! Dick -
Well all of the painting and glue up are done, plus I have 2 coats of Lacquer on them. This weekend I will wood burn my signature and the date, then I will install the hanger brackets. From then on they will have time to let the finish cure and the smell of the Lacquer disappear before I give them to the recipients that I have chosen. Dick
