When you talk about getting the kerf dialed in just right, I feel that if you aim for 1 inch and come out at 15/16"--it still fits nicely in a 1" hole.
Some will disagree, but it will give a bit of flexibility with the glue up.
He did charge a modest S&H on those, but it was worth it.

I also work on the patio and most days I have a slight breeze which keeps most of the dust away from me.
