rjR Posted January 20, 2015 Report Posted January 20, 2015 I had the pleasure of meeting Dick Jones & wife Sharon yesterday in Hillsboro OR. Dick is Heppner Guy. A intelligent, fun and easy to be around, nice guy! He suggested a member "Meet N' Greet" somewhere in Or for members in the area! Anyone else besides me that likes that idea? Maybe this coming summer somewhere near a RV park ?? I do know there are a few more around the North --to central OR area. Quote

Doug Posted January 22, 2015 Report Posted January 22, 2015 I had to check - if anyone else is wondering a sporran is a guy purse for someone wearing a kilt. I learn so much visiting this site and especially in figuring out what our friends from over the pond are talking about. Phantom Scroller, LarryEA and Rob Roy 3 Quote
Rob Roy Posted January 22, 2015 Report Posted January 22, 2015 Well Doug, you'll now realise how painful it is running for a bus with a Sporran full of loose change. And the change is not the only thing that's LOOSE. . Rob Roy. Phantom Scroller 1 Quote

And the change is not the only thing that's LOOSE. . Rob Roy. That is what I thought. Once I learned what a Sporran was I figured they were made from mens underwear since that was a useless piece of clothing. I also now understand who first taught that we should always bend from the knees rather than the waist - it was Scottish men - and it had nothing to do with saving our backs. Quote

Doug, That is the best line of 2015, of course it's early in the year. I still bend from the waist to pick things up...if I am by myself. Quote
Scrappile Posted January 23, 2015 Report Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) I'd be very interested, Please keep me posted. I have an RV, would love to meet other scrollers. I hope this works out. If I had one I'd even wear a kelt in honor of Rob who can not be there! Portland is a great area. Edited January 23, 2015 by Scrappile Quote
