ike Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 I start at stage 3. Just sit back with a cup of coffee at the computor, turn on the selective hearing and let the wife rattle on. I am just thankful that she doesn't log on here. Quote
oldhudson Posted February 17, 2015 Report Posted February 17, 2015 This winter, in Minnesota, has been "Mickey Mouse". Not too much cold and and not much snow. I think I've only had the winter coat out a half dozen times. But I know that for some, especially on the right coast of the US, it's been nasty. So if you are living though it here are a couple of tips. dress in layers, a lot of them. Wool is a very good insulator. Don't for get a hat. even though clearing the snow off the roof can be important, it's really dangerous. Better to hire a pro. if you have dangerously cold temps and there is any chance of water pipes freezing, let your water run at a trickle. Moving water is much less likely to freeze have issues driving your car, the best thing is radial chains. They really work both to get going and stopping - but if your stuck- kitty litter under the tires can help and gently rock the car moving the gear shift from drive to reverse - the rocking motion should increase with each change and get high school kids to push Remember Spring is only 31 days away so you are almost there. Dan Posted February 17, 2015 Author Report Posted February 17, 2015 I guess I'm stuck at stage 1. I'm waiting for the big one. I doubt that we will get 10 inches or more but if we do it will probably be in March. Hey, just for the record, spring training has started. Quote
