Vector01 Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 You can obtain a class 03 collectors license by requesting a application from the ATF form distribution center. The current cost is $30.00 dollars for three years. This will allow you to purchase firearms (that fall within the C&R guidelines) directly from various distributors and have them delivered to your home. There are certain restrictions for applying for this type license as well as other FFL's. You must not have been convicted of a felony, domestic violence, drug violations, have a current restraining order, been committed to a mental institution and a few others. Along with the federal criminal check you will have to obtain a criminal background check and fingerprint card from your local law enforcement agency. The whole process (currently) can take from 30-90 days after the ATF receives your application. http://www.atf.gov/firearms/curios/index.htm There are also certain state by state restrictions as to what you can purchase. Best to check your state restrictions prior to applying. greasemonkeyredneck Posted September 20, 2009 Report Posted September 20, 2009 Thanks for the info. I may check into that in the future. I enjoy a lot of the older guns. After checking some of the links you give, a lot of my guns fall under the C&R lists. Quote
