Unfortunately, many of them have professional and college sports team names in the design. This is a very legal gray area. But usually the name is copyrighted/trademarked by the institution that owns the team. If you remember awhile back, there was a big controversy about the words “Super Bowl.†Nobody could use that except the NFL since they owned the trademark. This is the same reasoning. So while these patterns are a lot of fun, we cannot distribute them on SSV. I would like to keep the NFL lawyers off my lawn. I’ll go through and remove the patterns from SSV. If you see something that falls within this category, please flag it so one of the moderators can take care of it. Thanks for understanding. BTW: You can design and cut a pattern for yourself, but you can’t legally distribute the pattern. Quote
