koehler788 Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) I am asking again for some help please. I am making several things for a friend and I need a large ( at least a full 11" ) desk plaque of the attached photo. I do need all lettering and trinity symbol. I want to put it on a base. I have seen some great word art pattern makers out there and I am jealous. I would like a boarder around it and mountable from the symbol, with the lettering "floating" above the base. Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated! Edited April 19, 2015 by koehler788 amazingkevin 1 Quote
koehler788 Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 OH, I also forgot to mention I also need the trinity symbol to make small enough for a necklace. Thank You! Quote
Fab4 Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Hi Paul: Not sure if you realize this or not but what you have posted is an actual pattern. All you need is to add bridges to a few of the letters, The "e, a, g and the a in Care" This is so the center of the letter doesn't fall out Just resize to what you need and cut it out. You can do that by hand.No program necessary. If you still need or want help let us know. Fab4 Quote
amazingkevin Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 I hope you do the necklace in metal, that will look nice Quote
koehler788 Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 Kevin. I might just do that, what metal would you suggest for regular blades? amazingkevin 1 Quote
koehler788 Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 Fab4 I need something like this. This is a cutting that I had done for a friend of mine. Once cut I will mount it on a base to stand on a shelf or desk top Quote
Fab4 Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Hi Paul: I see now what you are after I tried but I'm having trouble with the back piece It's leaving "blotches" that show up once I put everything together I'll try to figure out what I'm doing wrong Hopefully, someone else will jump in and give you what you are after Sorry... koehler788 Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Posted April 19, 2015 Fab4 The black can be cut out. I think all I need is a boarder around the lettering. With enough " Meat " at the bottom of the Trinity symbol to mount to the base Quote
amazingkevin Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 Kevin. I might just do that, what metal would you suggest for regular blades? i think but am not sure but maybe copper is softer than aluminum.I did teresa on a penny in script with two places to attach a chain to easy.Just take your time go slow and even slower in the turns as thats where the heat builds up and wants to break the blade. ,glue the penny on a piece of wood and have a good time accomplishing another milestone in scrolling. Pennys are cheap so you wont lose much if you mess up .i used flying dutchmans jewelers blades to cut the penny with.don't forget to do a works in progress to get lots compliments :) :) :) :) Quote
amazingkevin Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 You can also find spirals to cut metal on the net if you'd like to try them! Quote
amazingkevin Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 I'm no better than anybody else but i do have a little speed in lettering, since 2005 , my love is letters! Quote
