Having a wee problem.

I have on a page in Inkscape 6 names each name has been un-grouped to intervidual letters and then moved to union them.
Ok that is all good, the next bit is to redo one of the first names cause it has a weak spot if cut as is.
I don't wish to do another name just go back and fix the problem name.

I tried highlighting the name and "Path to Object" then "Object to Ungroup" but that not work.

HELP please

The first thing i would try is to Undo (or ctrl +z) unil you get back to the point you wish to be. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure if it will work but try going to Object and select Break Apart.

Thanks Dan but CTRL+Z undo's all the other names as well and that's bout 6 names.

Bob Thanks also but to use  "Shift+Ctrl+K" that breaks everything in the letters, ie all the center pieces as well.

But if that is the only way I will have to use it. No problem have to be careful I don't something I shouldn't,

Bob is on the right track.  Because you Unioned the objects, it's now 1 object.  So in order to separate the objects, you'll have to do Path>Break Apart (Shift+Ctrl+K).  This will break your object into all the shapes that make up the original object.  From there, do a marquee box around the letter.  That will select all the shapes that make up that letter.  At the bottom of the screen, it will say "____ objects of type Path"  You should have several objects selected.  From there, go to Path>Combine (Ctrl+K), which will make that letter whole again.  Do that to each of your letters.  Then fix the problem letter with any needed bridges or other fixes.

Thanks for the Help Travis will try that, I ended up just redoing the name but kept a copy of the one that was Broken Apart so can try different things on it,
