Guys i saw a video the other day, that showed taking half the picture and copy/pasting it, using set/release, then the other half and copy/pasting it on one sheet to print, then all you have to do is connect the lines and you have one oversized printout. i can not for the life of me find that video again. (i thought it was by travis) and I thought i bookmarked it. Ive seen two of Travis's videos and they are not it, Does anyone know the video or how to do this.

I cannot help find the video; but, I do know that MS Pint will let you resize and print to a larger scale using more than one sheet! If you have the word program you could dig a little into the tool bar on paint and find it!

Most of the photo/printing programs also have a variant of this feature.

Hope it helps.

Sorry to be late for the game.  I've been on Holiday on and off for the last few weeks.

I think this is the video you're looking for.  It's posted under the Articles Tab in the Inkscape section.  http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/articles.html/_/pattern-making/inkscape/printing-oversized-patterns-r21

Thanks Travis, i believe ive seen that video (several times). Maybe the one im referring to ISNT yours? but i talked about setting clip and releasing clip , copy and pasting, in order to break a pattern in two pieces and printing it on the same page. Like for the intersecting wordart plaques. I saw this video followed it and it worked perfectly, though i bookmarked but apparently i didnt =(

I print big pics in excel.

Open a spreadsheet program like excel.  I use the free version.

Paste the pic in and adjust the size.

Look at whats called page view and it will show you the pages it covers.  Adjust the picture size to your liking.

Print.

Once printed I cut out on the lines and tape it together with clear tape.
