  8. I had put a request out for a pattern, i had an idea but not the skills to create it. Birchbank took that idea and made it come true. Cut it a couple of days ago, and gave it to my fiance for her birthday today., She loved it. Thanks Birchbank for the brownie points i earned with the Wifey and her mom lol

  13. I'm usually a very harsh critic of my work, But i have to say i AM SO DAMN PROUD of how these came out. oh and btw prince's symbol was cut from Purple heart, because you know when there is Prince, there has to be purple! lol
  14. yes, the center is cut at an angle
  15. thanks, as far as the amount the pattern on;ly called for the 5 reindeer, rudolph is there in front, and after all the work in shaping them, im glad there were only 5 to do. lol Yes i could have done a couple more of each, but i dont think it would have looked right to have multiple deer with the same positions.
  16. thank you, the light string is actually a strand of decorative rope and a light strand intertwined, they were bought separately at pat catans
  17. thank you, and yes that was the part that made it sell, but also made it torturous lol Learned something new. Prior to this i had never used a dremel in that fashion, so it was a learning experience on the fly.
  18. my last post only allowed 10 pics max, and im so proud of how this one came out that i had to share more pics. a lot of work and time went into this set, it was a gift for my fiance's parents. I had originally intended to make two sets, one for our house and one for theres. about a week and a half before christmas, my fiance's sister in law saw them and ordered 4 sleighs and 4 reindeer. So as of now we still dont have a set for our house. LOL there is always next year.
  19. Hey been a while, been making saw dust, glad the Christmas season is over. Time to clean up the shop, sawdust everywhere. Organize everything again, sort out everything, and inventory and restock. WOW, all to make more sawdust, lol But I LOVE IT The Reindeer & Sleigh, Camping, Cross, And trust in the lord Plaque all by sheila landry and keith fenton The Boston Terrier, Live laugh love, were by Sue Mey and the Tom Petty pattern was altered from a Steve Good pattern
  20. oh this piece was a nightmare, you don't even want to know what i went through, lol. BUT ill tell you anyway. all i can find anymore is 4/4 cedar, rough cut, no one around me caries less thicknesses and they want to charge to much to surface it. so being that i love how cedar finishes i bot some anyway, i don't have a planer or jointer. I wanted 1/2" but no more than 3/4 in. when i went to sand (using a belt sander with 3 different grits mind you) the first side, i didn't notice that there was a bout a 1/4" of rot on the back side, with no planer or band saw what is a guy to do. OH I KNOW, take the table saw blade as high as it can go, and use it as a make shift band saw, well even after cutting through and flipping it, i still had about 2-3 inches that the blade didn't reach, so i broke off the rotted pieces, then using a chisel scraped down the middle that the table saw couldn't reach, then with a power hand planer i finished off the rest, yea this was a PITA to do. and i have a total of 6 more boards all 4/4 at 4 feet long to deal with, at least they don't have rot, only what remains of the first board.
  21. wow kevin, some might big generous compliments there. I think you may have just made a black man blush HAHAHAHAHA
  22. Pattern by donnie hollingsworth (foot of the cross scrollsaw ) donne in aromatic cedar.
  23. This was by far the most amount of holes (that werent letters), in a project for me. I could not wait till the last one. I dont know how you guys that do clocks and other patterns with thousands of holes manage it. Patience truly is a virtue. Pattern by keith fenton. Woods used: walnut, hard maple and yellow hart. Not perfect but in happy with it for my first try. Still drying in the picture.
  24. Looks great kevin. Where is the trust in the lord clock pattern from
