Travis Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Work has been hammering away at me all week (working 12-14hr days), so I'm looking forward to the weekend. We're taking our son to the Zoo tomorrow afternoon to do some trick-or-treating. Then we'll hit the neighborhood after dinner and pound a few doors. I think it'll finally click in his brain what Halloween is all about...free candy! (he's almost 3) I think he'll be pretty excited. Plus he's going as old-school Batman. After he goes to bed, I might watch a monster movie or two. Then Sunday, it's back to reality. I have to do some painting on the house. No time for the saw lately. Oh well. Hopefully soon I'll be able to make some sawdust again. So what are y'all up to this spooky weekend? Quote
Christina Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 I don't have any little children anymore........unfortunately. And we live so far out in the middle of nowhere that we don't get trick or treaters at all. So it's scary movies and popcorn for me............two of my favorites lolol. Happy Halloween everyone. JAY Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 we're all getting dressed up and off to my big sisters for a party!! my little boy has a Darth Vader outfit (he lives in from time to time)!! my little girl loves to wear long flowing dresses ...she's a proper girly girl!! i'll be splashing some face paints on if i feel i'm up to it, its been another little hobby of mine for a while but i haven't been able to do it as much recently as i have dizzy spells (not so good for the little nippers if i'm working round the eye's ) so i've steered clear lately!! but don't mind giving myself a go!! here's a couple i've doon on myself before!! have fun whatever u do!! Travis Posted October 31, 2009 Author Report Posted October 31, 2009 Wow. Those are really cool. They look better than the masks you can buy at the store! I saw these twin brothers on TV that does some amazing face/body painting for Halloween. After seeing that, I'd love to learn how to do some of that. I had no idea you can accomplish those looks with just paint! http://www.flickr.com/photos/eviltwinfx/ Quote
JAY Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 yeah, Nick and Brian Wolfe, they're pretty much masters at it and even have their own line in paints i have a couple of their books as well which are really good, they're doing some gigs over here in england soon and give tutorials, i just started out with books, never had any lessons but would be great to see pro's like them, face painting is rapidly becoming more popular over here and big money!! doubt i'll ever get that good though.......or that rich from it either!!
