For the wood use an exterior plywood and then finish after all painting etc. with 2 --3--4 coats of spar varnish to get a several year life expectancy!

If using cut out letters glued and screwed/nailed on also use a premium exterior grade glue!

 

Try just usimg Dollar Tree white cheap poster board and cutting a set of lettering/design for your sign; YOU can do this --just think of how you want the letters to look! Take rectangles/squares of paper and cut the letters-- throw awy the ones you do not like and try again!

 

Pretty soon you will have some you do!

Hate to be a bother, but can anyone design a sign with the words: Beaver Lodge Welcome on it? Thanks in advance. Also, if you can, please give advice about where to get wood for signs. Thanks!

Liker rjR was saying, i too have still all my several alphabets letters saved that i used for years on end till i learned what could be done with a computer ;)
