Dan Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Anyone know where I can get a 29mm Forstner bit? I want to make bottle cap holders and 1-1/8" and 28mm are just a bit too small and 30mm is too large. Google only showed one result but the bit cost over $80! Quote
Fab4 Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 Hi Dan: I also did a search and they are showing that 1-1/8" as being 29mm I know this is no help to you but just thought I would mention it Fab4 Quote
LarryEA Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 I see nothing for Forstners. You may have to modify a spade bit. Just a thought. Dan 1 Quote
Dan Posted February 14, 2016 Author Report Posted February 14, 2016 Thanks Larry. That just may work. Now to find a spade but to modify. Quote
amazingkevin Posted February 14, 2016 Report Posted February 14, 2016 The spade bits are very common ,easy to find most any place.Lots of times the variety bin at the hardware store has them for under $6.00 a set Thanks Larry. That just may work. Now to find a spade but to modify. Quote
kywoodmaster Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Forstners = not cheap. Good luck on the custom job. Quote
WayneMahler Posted February 15, 2016 Report Posted February 15, 2016 Maybe make a jig and use a flat bottom router bit? Something similar to making a router cut bowl? Just a thought. Quote
