I have wasted a day either trying to find some hard wood or trying to put photos from my camera onto my computer.  :curse: :curse: :curse:    The hardwood will be sorted in the next week but the photos, :curse: :curse:  I am not so sure about.  I did all the things I normally do and I sat here looking at a blank computer screen.  I hope it gets figured out soon, I want to show you some photos, plus the grand-kids mum wants to see them too.  I would have been better off going into the garage.

Sorry to hear a bad day Marg, did you look in other places on the PC?  You may have downloaded them all, but they just aren't where they are normally at.  If you know the name of one of the photos you can search the name and it will lead you to all the rest, stored in some strange place you don't expect them to be.  Maybe... might be worth a shot.

This is a brand new Nikon camera and from what I have just read in the mini manual, the photos upload through wifi and not manually. I have to download a program to help the process but I would have thought that by putting the SD card into my printer like I have done million of times before they would have come up on the computer screen. Hopefully my daughter can sort it out tomorrow. My poor old computer is a dinosaur and still runs XP it doesn't like all this modern stuff. Hahaha

:D :D :D   Oh my, well that explains a lot then!!  :)

Your directory, the tree, should have a list of all your drives, C drive, E drive, etc.  When you plug something in, it is listed as another drive.  So look at all your drives now, then plug your camera in.  Another drive will be listed, say, F drive for example.  Double click on that and you should be able to see what's there.  That would be the same for the card, or a thumb drive or whatever.

Oh, and I said all that r e a l l y slow.  :)
