wombatie Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 I have wasted a day either trying to find some hard wood or trying to put photos from my camera onto my computer. :curse: The hardwood will be sorted in the next week but the photos, :curse: I am not so sure about. I did all the things I normally do and I sat here looking at a blank computer screen. I hope it gets figured out soon, I want to show you some photos, plus the grand-kids mum wants to see them too. I would have been better off going into the garage. Marg Quote
spirithorse Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 Sorry to hear it was such a disastrous day, Marg, My wife's phone up-dated and now her lap-top won't recognize her photo gallery on the phone to save or print the photos. She is definitely not a happy camper. God Bless! Spirithorse wombatie 1 Quote

Birchbark Posted April 29, 2016 Report Posted April 29, 2016 Sorry to hear a bad day Marg, did you look in other places on the PC? You may have downloaded them all, but they just aren't where they are normally at. If you know the name of one of the photos you can search the name and it will lead you to all the rest, stored in some strange place you don't expect them to be. Maybe... might be worth a shot. wombatie Posted April 30, 2016 Author Report Posted April 30, 2016 This is a brand new Nikon camera and from what I have just read in the mini manual, the photos upload through wifi and not manually. I have to download a program to help the process but I would have thought that by putting the SD card into my printer like I have done million of times before they would have come up on the computer screen. Hopefully my daughter can sort it out tomorrow. My poor old computer is a dinosaur and still runs XP it doesn't like all this modern stuff. Hahaha Marg Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) Are you saying that when you connect it to you computer it doesn't show up on an extra drive I find that hard to believe Marg even if it is a Wifi connection.??? PS: Forgot you still have a Sinclair Spectrum. Edited May 1, 2016 by Phantom Scroller Quote

Birchbark Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 :D Oh my, well that explains a lot then!! Your directory, the tree, should have a list of all your drives, C drive, E drive, etc. When you plug something in, it is listed as another drive. So look at all your drives now, then plug your camera in. Another drive will be listed, say, F drive for example. Double click on that and you should be able to see what's there. That would be the same for the card, or a thumb drive or whatever. Oh, and I said all that r e a l l y slow. Russell Phantom Scroller 1 Quote
dgman Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Hope you get it sorted out Marg. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your trip! Quote
