It  didn't work for me, I didn't get the same page to select a page out of the pattern .It wanted load the whole file.

Thanks. I run a newer version then Steve, although principles are the same. I watched his videos quite a while ago, and they are helpful for beginning to get into it.

I used basically the same technique to create some Doctor Who wall sconces for my wife last year (we're big Whovians).  The bottom part is from one of Steve's patterns, and the top part is the Tardis with 2 of the Doctor's silhouettes.
