HARDWOOD and a decent blade that you are familiar with the performance of.

 

Make it work hard to see if it has the capability left or has been mostly run out!

Use the saw as if you own it, cut some different types and thicknesses of wood, plywood, softwood and a piece of hardwood. Try changing blades to see what that's like, run it for a while to see how it works and sounds.

Unfortunately it turned out to be a really old 16" model (216-3) that was not very well taken care of.  Was definitely a pass.  At least it was only 15 minutes from my house, so I didn't waste a lot of time.

If you don't try you could miss a good deal. Happy to hear it was close and not much time or gas wasted. Keep looking, something will show up good for you.
