Scrappile Posted August 1, 2016 Report Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) This was posted on Facebook by one of our members. Really hit home with me, laughed until I cried... But I am still glad I was raised when I was as opposed to today and all the wonder gadgets... Thanks for the laugh, Janie! Fab4 Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 Hi Paul: Imagine that, eating mud, And your still around today to tell us about it Simply amazing isn't it??? What do you think would happen today if you were to knowingly let your child play in and sometimes eat mud... Your picture would be on those fancy laptops and ipads for being a bad parent, for all the 3 years olds to see Thanks for sharing part of your youth with us Fab4 Quote

wombatie Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 True story.......I have a photo of my youngest daughter (who will be 39 on Sept. 2nd,) when she was not quite 2 in our garden at the back . We are spreading top soil and she is running around absolutely covered in dirt especially around her mouth, her nappy/diaper hanging around her knees and she is having the time of her life. I had the photo blown up for her 21st and even today she displays the photo with pride, because to her that was heaven. How many of today's youngsters will be able to look back and say that was heaven? Marg Quote

Be_O_Be Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) My parents would let us play with steel cars & trucks, what were they thinking. And if we did come in the house to play they would wonder what kind of trouble we were in. Edited August 2, 2016 by Be_O_Be Quote
Kepy Posted August 2, 2016 Report Posted August 2, 2016 What a sense of freedom we had. Now they are saying that kids today are so protected that they have no protection from a lot of illnesses. Quote
